High Efficiency Flow Controllers AFD-0100-C-200 The AFD High Efficiency Flow ControllerThe AFD-HEFC controls flow, ensuring that there is sufficient air available to the demand-side at all times. The HEFC works in combination with the compressors and a large storage vessel. By controlling flow, pressure in the demand-side is maintained to within a few psig of set point. The HEFC allows air to flow from the supply-side to the demand side as needed. The compressor('s) runs at full load, efficiently producing air that is treated and then used to supply the demand-side requirements. Surplus air is stored in the high-pressure tank to be used when demand side requirement exceeds the compressors output, or is low and the compressor is unloaded. Once the high-pressure tank reaches a predetermined pressure the compressor unloads and the system is supplied from the air stored in the tank. The pressure in the tank then decays to another predetermined level, at which point the compressor loads and the whole cycle is repeated. Download PDF literature Now:
