Isentropic Flow Controllers
AFD0750 & AFD1500 IFC's What is an Isentropic Flow Controller? The AFD Isentropic Flow Controller is a true isentropic valve that separates the demand-side from supply-side of a compressed air system. By installing an AFD-IFC, all upstream tanks and pipe-work become “useful control storage”. It is a pneumatically actuated butterfly valve that, via a PID control loop, spills air from the high storage pressure to a predetermined lower main header pressure. Unlike other pressure control devices, this is done with no loss of compressed air work energy. The main header pressure is maintained to better than ±1.0 psig of set point, ensuring efficient operation of the entire system. Key BenefitsWhy do YOU need the AFD Isentropic Flow Controller?¨ Tired of wasting money? ¨ Tired of production losses because of compressed air problems? ¨ Tired of production personnel whining about needing "more compressed air"? These are just three of the reasons you should consider the installation of an AFD-IFC.
